Busy in Arlington

I went to Arlington this weekend. It was a busy, busy weekend that went by too fast, but was filled with lots of family and fun. Saturday was spent relaxing with Mom, Dad, Mimi, Bipaw and the Aquino girls. Lerin and I got in lots of good play time. We even went on a walk around our neighborhood. We sang songs and enjoyed listening to the girls chatter. Dad is doing awesome recovering from his hip surgery. He went on the walk with us and is just doing marvelously! He gets stiff in the evenings, but overall he is getting back to his old self...before the years of pain.

Saturday afternoon the family went with Aaron and Trish's Sunday school class to this restaurant called Babe's in Burleson. Babe's serves family style food like chicken fried steak, fried chicken, etc. It was actually very yummy! I was a little skeptical of the family style of serving, but they did not disappoint.

Sunday was a very very special day! I got to go to Tate Springs for Sunday School and see all of my church family that I miss terribly! Of course, we were only there for Sunday School and it was very quick talking with everyone, but good none the less. Then we all went over to hear Bipaw preach at Walnut Ridge. What an awesome heritage I have the privelege of being born in to. Walnut Ridge was one of the mission churches started by Tate Springs in 1982. They were having a send out service for their third mission church and had invited Bipaw to preach. The contemporary worship was refreshing and watching God fulfill his promises and continue his work among his people was awesome to watch! I can't wait for heaven to see the host of people who have come to know Jesus because my Bipaw was obedient to his calling. We have a high calling to live up to!

After a delicious family lunch at Pancho's I got to rest for about an hour before leaving to go back home. I got to be the welcoming committee for the Callender family bringing Gus home!! While they ate lunch I ate up some Gus time. What a prescious baby! He is doing fabulously and we are all thrilled that he is home.

Sadly, I forgot my camera in Amarillo so there were no photos to document the weekend. Mimi took care of that though snapping shots all weekend! I'll have to get them from her.
